I always hoped a movie remake of LOTL would somehow come to fruition but to make it a comedy was downright disrespectful to the fans of the original television series. Although, watching the Memorial Day marathon on the Sci-fi channel today reveals the flaws in the FX of the era (I can remember them being much less cheesy when I was a kid) the story line is one of the most intelligent I can remember from any Saturday morning programming. If only someone could have reimagined this with a more serious approach to Alternate Dimensions, Time Travel and Prehistoric Creatures this could have been a seriously excellent adventure film.
That being said, I'm sure this new film is freakin' hilarious.

I'm with the rest of them, Marshall didn't need a love intrest. Why couldn't it be kept in it's original form. I'm enjoying the Memorial day marathon of LOTL on the SCI-FI channel today, and looking back realize how fun the show was. The new generation may like it but us old vetrans of LOTL will not. Sorry

Oh man, I am soooooo disapointed. I consider myself a "child" of the Sid and Marty Krofft era. I lived for their programing as child in the 70's and 80's. I will see it out of pure curiosity. But I can not promise I will like it. LOTL was my favorite Saturday morning show!

Bad Idea! Can it and wait for a rewrite and recasting. Ferrell is no Marshall and the original show was not a comedy it was an adventure. The money isn't worth it Sid and Marty, save your franchise, don't let it be shown!

LOTL movie? If you don't know the difference between the LOTL and Journey with B. Frasier then stay at home. LOTL movie would kick Journeys Butt!
