Land of the Lost Script Review

17 Mar 2008 | Posted in Krofft Movies |

Over at CC2K there is a review of the early draft of the script for the “Land of the Lost” movie. Beware that there are spoilers there…so tread lightly. Interesting in the review is this quote:

Let’s hope that the filmmakers can make the second half of this movie work, because if they don’t, they’ll be responsible for one of the worst movies of 2009.

I didn’t read the review as I don’t want to be too spoiled for the film. I hope that the film doesn’t turn out to be “one of the worst movies of 2009″. I’m not looking for best…but I don’t want worst.

What do you think?

  1. To Everybody at Krofft …
First, I have to say, bacj in 2000 when I heard rumors that there may indeed be a Land Of The Lost movie, I was HOPING and PRAYING that it was going to be a grand version of what I believe is the greatest sci-fi kids show ever …
based on the original of course ….
That show was and still is my absolute favorite … and now it’s being made into a farce and vehicle for Will Ferrill ,,,
SHAME ON YOU ALL … SID AND MARTY!!! What the hell are ya’s doing !!!

Here was the potential … to possibly be … an AWSEOME version of the original!!!

    DAMN YOU ALL!!!!

    I totally agree!
The Kroffts have TOTALLY screwed this one up!
How DARE you ruin yet another one of my most cherished childhood TV shows!

You might as well cast Jim Carrey in the movie version of Pufnstuf too!

Why is it that everytime someone wants to do a remake of a 70’s show, it needs to be a comedy which makes fun of the original.

Sid & Marty: THERE WAS NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT LOTL!!! It was a serious, complex sci-fi show.

My kids and I will NOT be seeing your new trash. SHAME ON YOU!
