WITCHIEPOOS WAND AND SHOES ON EBAY

25 Oct 2000 | Posted in Krofft Alumni |

Yes thats right, Billie Hayes (AKA WITCHIEPOO, Weenie the Geenie) is auctioning off her wand and shoes for her Pet Hope organization. The auction which was to have started on October 20 and go throught October 30 has not yet begun, but will soo according to Billies webmaster.

We have run into a snag with the e-bay group. Because it is an auction for charity, there is more paper work than normal to fill out. The guys at Yesterdayland.com are running the auction and will tell me via e-mail when it is ironed out. I will post a link directly to the items on Billie Hayes’ site and also Jack Wild’s site.

Billie Hayes is auctioning off her Magic Wand and Witchiepoo Boots – her personal mementos – from her wonderful starring role as Witchiepoo on H.R. Pufnstuf.

Billie didn’t want to part with them, she’d hung on to them for over thirty years.

This auction is for Pet Hope, and every penny of the money will help find homes for abandoned and abused animals

Billie is a sweetheart and a venerable actress. I saw a clip of Deidre Hall and thought…cool. BUT…it should not be forgotten that Billie (aka Witchiepoo) DID, in fact, leave Living Island, to put her pursuits to a more POSITIVE end.

True story…well, insofar as ‘Soaps’ constitute reality. Anyway, the…um..first lady of Living Island gave up Gold-Flute snatching to try to help retrieve an ICE PRINCESS. (Despite the name, it was nothing to look at, but did have damaging capabilities in the wrong hands). Under an assumed name and identity, (hint hint, I share the same username), she was partnered with a very suave Aussie WSB agent, whom she affectionately referred to as ‘ Sonny’ (see also: Robert Scorpio) . They would later be joined by an adventuresome couple by the names of LUKE AND LAURA, as well as a cabbie by the name of Slick, to try to gain control of the Ice Princess before the Cassidines got it. It was scary, crazy, and sometimes funny. Friendships were forged and memories are lasting.

Don’t want to go into how it ended, too sad. But sweet. Let’s just say, the risks were DEFINITELY worth the reward! Give up a gold, talking flute to die in the arms of a suave Australian? Honey, I’d give up the crown Jewels of England and I don’t even own those!!!

If you’re a General Hospital fan, circa 1981, this might sound a teensy bit familiar.

Sorry, gal, the cat’s outta the bag. Witchiepoo IS/Was Agent O’Reilly.

    P.S. ‘Luke’ knew too.

Too strange. This is the second time in three days that I’ve seen something related to H.R. Pufnstuf (the other was a real life conversation) without looking for it. That’s very nice of Witchiepoo to auction off her stuff. What was the outcome of the auction?
